Account notifications by text for the people who use Groundsman, only when they ask for them. Starting soon.

“Groundsman alerts” is Groundsman's text-message program: transactional account notifications for the people who use Groundsman. Groundsman alerts are sent by Synergy Equity Partners LLC, Groundsman's parent company, on behalf of Groundsman Development Corporation. Texts are starting soon; until then, the same alerts come by email and push notification.

  • Staff of a property management company: emergency on-call pages, new assignments and approvals waiting for them.
  • Property owners and their delegates: approvals waiting for them, emergency notices about their property and arrival readiness.
  • Never marketing. No promotional texts, ever. Campaigns and newsletters stay email only.
  • Frequency varies with account activity; an on-call week can mean several texts a day.
  • Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel and HELP for help, or email hello@groundsman.ai.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Available for US mobile numbers.

How people opt inDouble opt-in

Each person opts in for themselves in the Groundsman app; a company can never opt someone in on their behalf, and consent is not a condition of purchase.

  • Open My preferences → Text messages (owners and delegates: More → Text messages) and choose On.
  • Enter a US mobile number and tick the box next to the consent disclosure. The box is never ticked for you, and nothing is saved before Save.
  • We text a 6-digit code to that number. Entering it confirms the number (double opt-in), and we send the opt-in confirmation text.
  • We record the time, IP address, browser, method and the exact disclosure shown.
  • Turn texts off in the same place at any time, or reply STOP to any text.

The consent disclosure

“I agree to receive Groundsman alerts by text message at the mobile number above: account notifications such as emergency pages, assignments, approvals waiting and arrival readiness. No marketing texts. Message frequency varies with account activity. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Terms: groundsman.ai/terms. Privacy: groundsman.ai/privacy.”

Sample messages

Each fits one text (under 160 characters) and says how to opt out.

  • Emergency page (staff on call): “Groundsman alerts: EMERGENCY at 14 Harbor Rd: water leak reported 9:42 PM. You're on call. Open the app to acknowledge. Reply STOP to opt out.”
  • Approval waiting (owner or manager): “Groundsman alerts: approval waiting for 14 Harbor Rd: pool pump replacement, $1,240. Review it in the app. Reply STOP to opt out.”
  • Opt-in confirmation: “Groundsman alerts: you're signed up for account texts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out.”
  • Confirmation code: “Groundsman alerts: your code is 482913. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out.”

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
